Neighbourhood Spotlight: DAVIE VILLAGE

To kick off Pride Week here in Vancouver, I wanted to share a few things which you can find in Davie Village which bring me joy. Running along Davie Street from Burrard to Jervis in Vancouver’s West End, Davie Village is the City’s vibrant LGBTQ2S+ neighbourhood where you’ll find many locally owned businesses and amazing people, along with the famous Rainbow Crosswalk, which is located across from Jim Deva Plaza, a community gather space in the heart of the Village.

Patios: The Fountainhead Pub, The Junction Pub, Score on Davie, Pumpjack
Quick Bites: Disco Cheetah, Los Amigos Tacos
Restaurants: Davie Dosa Company, Kadoya Sushi, Stephos, Bonta Italian
Drinks: 1181, The Junction Pub, Pumpjack Vancouver, Numbers Cabaret
Brunch: Mary's on Davie, Score on Davie, The Basic
Coffee Shops: Amoka Coffee, Cardero Cafe, Melriches

Vancouver is also home to some of the most talented and diverse Drag Performers in the world, so you’ll have no problem stumbling upon one of the many shows that take place throughout the week. Check out venues like 1181, Junction, and Numbers where you’ll find weekly shows hosted by @the.alma.be @xana.del.rey @iammadamlola @pmforagoodtime and many more!

This is a non-exhaustive list (as there is so much that you can find in this lively neighbourhood) so I encourage you to get out and stroll through Davie Village yourself to enjoy the energy that you’ll find along Davie Street, follow the venues and the drag performers to keep up to date on new events coming to the Village, and remember to tip your servers and the Queens!

Happy Pride Vancouver!
